At the time of filming it cost 349 000 forints in Hungary, if we wanted save the blood of the umbilical cord of our newborn child for twenty years. And surprisingly there is a need for umbilical cord blood banking, although it is not sure that it makes any sense to save the blood for personal purposes. The blood of the umbilical cord serves the purposes of stem-cell research, which is today’s most promising medical research field. But where is the borderline between medical therapy and quackery?
