We drink it, use it for washing-up or watering the plants, we travel on it. Man continuously interferes with the systems of surface and ground water by removing and returning some of it. Doing this irresponsibly can affect our lives adversely for centuries. Therefore, the condition of water infrastructure in Hungary as well as the quantitative and qualitative changes induced by human usage are issues of prime importance.
